On Dynamis' enduring success...
“I accredit that success to Andrew [Markou, brother and co-fobeing at the heart of technology. He is the real reason this business is a success because he is not only at the heart of technology, but also driving the commercial proposition through technology.
“If we were outsourcing that or even if we paid someone a fabulous amount of money to be a chief technical officer, I don’t think we would have had the same kind of success.”
On his people management skills within the company...
“I would say at the beginning I was immature and I didn’t take my responsibilities seriously - for example, turning a blind eye to difficult decisions.
“It’s my personal opinion that it’s within the interest of the business to be generous with your staff, contrary to what 95% of other business owners might believe. I say to my employees: 'you’re only here for two or three years, after that you should be getting a better job at another company – because that’s how people think, so we may as well acknowledge it.”
