Web pioneer scoops award

A website which, along with the likes of eBay, helped to pioneer internet commerce has won the award for Best Small Business Service Provider 2010.

BusinessesForSale.com, founded in 1995 when few people had internet access and some commentators even dismissed the World Wide Web as a fad, was given the accolade by Start Your Business Magazine.

In this video the founders of Dynamis, the online media group in whose stable BusinessesForSale.com sits, divulge the secrets of their success. Brothers Marcus and Andrew Markou explain how technology sits at the heart of the business and how outsourcing technology is anathema, as well as the importance of an overarching vision.

Recognising the website for innovation, customer service and ease of use, a panel of small-business experts and entrepreneurs opted to give the award to the undisputed leader in its field; BusinessesForSale.com is the world’s largest directory of businesses for sale by some margin, with nearly 55,000 business opportunities listed around the world.
