Varalaxmi on the importance of Westminster Business Consultants for young entrepreneurs...

"It’s a very important resource, particularly because we are working with students. I’m a post-grad student and five years down the line I have a vision of having my own travel agency.

It is very important for me to be in an environment where there are similar entrepreneurs like me. I recently went to a Junior Enterprise World Conference in Milan and I met so many people that shared the same vision as me."

A business plan is just like oxygen: you can’t survive without it

On the importance of having a business plan...

"A business plan is just like oxygen: you can’t survive without it. I have a business plan for myself in terms of the business I want to set up – the travel agency."

"It is vital when you go into the market and ask someone to invest in your business. The first question people will ask is: ‘Do you have a business plan?’

"A business plan speak a lot about yourself, the way it’s drafted and the amount of hard work and the research you put in. I believe it is the most important thing.”

On the importance of occupying a niche...

"It is important to some extent. You need to have something that no one else is offering, particularly in the travel agency industry.

"People won’t come to you if you’re offering the same as someone else offering it at a lower cost."
