Claire Nuttall and Tom Ellis of 1HQ

Experts from a branding agency counting Coca Cola and Tesco among its clients will be the panellists taking questions in a free webinar on Tuesday 8 March, 1pm-2pm.

Marketers, small-business owners, company directors, aspiring entrepreneurs, marketing undergraduates and anyone else interested in branding or marketing are invited to participate in the BusinessWings.co.uk event.

Tom Ellis and Claire Nuttall, client development director of research and strategy and insight and innovation director of global brand agency 1HQ, will field questions on branding strategy, packaging and brand design, product design, brand communication and other aspects of the discipline.
Having overseen the stellar success of Oats So Simple, the porridge that has led its market in a new direction and is now served in McDonald’s, the pair have plenty of experience to draw on.

Registering

The webinar will take place on the following web page, where anyone wishing to attend can register their email in order to receive a reminder in advance of the event, and listen to a podcast interview with Ellis and Nuttall: www.businesswings.co.uk/articles/Branding-strategy-webinar

We can help people think more deeply about something that might have been stuck in the ‘too difficult’ box and doesn’t see the light of day very often, because although it’s fundamental – it isn’t easy

Panellists and attendees will use CoveritLive.com’s intuitive interface, which is also used for live web events by ESPN, Sky News and General Motors among others. Effectively an instant messaging platform, the webinar will be an open forum where attendees can share ideas, problems and links with each other as well as quizzing the expert panellists.

When the webinar is underway, contributors just enter their name and begin making comments. Within moments their first comment will be vetted by a moderator and subsequent contributions will appear instantaneously. Contributors can also upload avatars – images – to represent themselves in the debate.

Asked what he and Claire Nuttall can bring to the debate, Tom Ellis says:  “New ways of looking at old problems. I think we can really help people think a bit more deeply or widely about something that might have been stuck in the ‘too difficult’ box and doesn’t see the light of day very often, because although it’s fundamental – it isn’t easy.

He continues: “We’re not necessarily going to give people solutions. But we can maybe help them think differently about a problem, which, let’s face it, is halfway to a solution sometimes.”
