Businesses or researchers can find out about how to access EU funding in a forthcoming masterclass.

On Friday 18 February LTN/Enterprise Europe South-East UK and the Digital Communications Knowledge Transfer Network are hosting a free seminar about winning Framework 7 European funding.

The training is not specific to digital communications, also offering advice to any company seeking to respond successfully to an FP7 funding call.

Developing a proposal for the EU Commission has many parallels with proposals to other funding organisations and even private investors. If your organisation is planning to seek funding to support R&D then the masterclass will be of benefit.

Eddie Townsend, the Digital Communications KTN collaboration domain expert, will be delivering the workshop based on his experience of successful proposal submissions and management in FP6 and FP7. Townsend has also published articles on the subject of collaboration and its role in product innovation.

Topics covered include:

  • Making the right strategic decisions about participation
  • Work integration
  • Taking the right approach to minimise the cost of participation
  • Matching roles to partners
  • Working with the European Commission on your proposal
  • Consortium organisation
  • Available support
  • Partner search methods
  • Building a team
  • Building a proposal
  • Proposal section by section view
