Alongside The Gadget Show Live, National Electronics Week 2011 will highlight the connection between today’s most wanted consumer electronics and the UK’s electronics industry, innovation, R&D and the supply-chain behind the best tech on display.

Commenting on the upcoming NEW:UK event, event director Claire Saunders says: “Over the last few months when speaking to our customers you can tell that there is a more upbeat, positive feeling from where we were this time last year. Our supporting exhibitors have worked very hard on promoting their presence as NEW:UK 2011 and this is showing with our pre-registration figures, they are higher than we have seen previously so we are very confident and look forward to a great event.

“We are very pleased that the NEW:UK event is finally shaping up to what we wanted to achieve for the UK arena and they seem to be liking it, the UK deserves a strong event to champion this industry – if it can be done in Europe then why don’t the UK pull together and make it happen here?

“I have to thank our exhibitors for all of their support and to our NEW:UK Committee who have been extremely active in promoting this event.”

The first 5,000 qualified pre-registered visitors for NEW:UK will have a unique opportunity to attend the Gadget Show Live on the trade and press day between 10am–4pm, 12 April.

Dates for the 2012 event have already been announced and NEW:UK 2012 will sit along other manufacturing events at the NEC from 17–18 April 2012.
