A paean to Steve Jobs

A great thought leader has been taken from us today.

Steve Jobs provided inspiration, innovation and solid leadership, revolutionising the personal tech industry and putting Apple Inc. squarely on the map as one of the boldest companies ever.

What were once leading edge technologies have become much-loved personal communication devices and a new way of life for the mass market. This is because Jobs and his leadership team believe strongly at it was never about the technology, but rather an intangible value similar to love.

We love Apple and its products, and we love the man who made them so wonderful and ubiquitous.

Real thought leaders are authorities in their space, but they also engage with their market. Not only do you need the vision, but you need to share that in the right way with the right people.

Only people with exceptional ideas but also exceptional personal qualities rise to the top of their   Industry. They take their company to new heights, building the company brand as well as their own.

Steve Jobs was the face of Apple, and as such he will be remembered for many years to come. His legacy cannot be measured solely in terms of product sales or other financial data. It can and will be measured by that intangible value I mentioned earlier, very similar to love.
